Hamad is a visual artist from Doha, Qatar. He graduated with a degree in Media Industries and Technologies from Northwestern University. Hamad is interested in the way imagery operates as a companion to written work, and how language spans multiple avenues of visual art. He tackles themes of isolation, illness, and loss. The media he uses consist of filmmaking, photography, and graphic design. Hamad’s main inspiration comes from his own experiences with illness and social isolation. He believes in the healing powers of the arts, and how much freedom comes from expressing himself through different forms.
