Sarah Afaneh is a Palestinian creative whose recent work has been dedicated to understanding the body as storage; a space where emotion, memory and knowledge are hosted with or without awareness. Sarah centers the inner child in her creative process. She is currently working on a hybrid novel, experimenting with playwriting, poetry and prose, that explores the ongoing negotiation with belonging for Palestinians. Sarah graduated from NYU Abu Dhabi in May 2022 with a Bachelors of Arts in Literature and Creative Writing, a double major in Social Research and Public Policy, and a minor in Political Science. Her work has been featured in The National, the NYU Abu Dhabi Arts Center, Global Art Daily, Satellite, Airport Road, The Gazelle and Sumou Mag.
